Fears are nothing more than states of mind. Man can create nothing which he does not first conceive in the form of an impluse of thought. The author names six fears,Poverty,Criticism, Ill Health,Loss of Love of Someone, Old Age and Death.,
The fear of criticism robs man of his initiatie, destroys, his power of imagination, limits individuality, takes away his self reliance and does damage in a hundred other ways. Criticism will plant fear in the human heart, or resentment but it will not build love or affection.
Recently I mailed a check to make a monthly payment, about a week later I got a letter from the company that the amount of the check was inadequate to make the full payment. The amount the check was written for and the numeric did not match. That was terrible for me and as if that was not enough a late fee was added. My state of mind immediately saw them being critical of me and the whole situation looked and felt much worse that it really was.
Reading this chapter has helped me to realize the "fear of criticism" I am living with.
I am grateful to Linda and Michael Dlouhy for being a Mastermind of two, creating Mentoring For Free and reaching out to share and teach all who participate weekly to pay it forward.
With much gratitude !!!!
