CHAPTER 14-THE SIXTH SENSE
THE DOOR TO THE TEMPLE OF WISDOM

Hill writes’ “This much the author does know--that there is a power,
or a First Cause, or an Intelligence, which permeates every atom of
matter, and embraces every unit of energy perceptible to man--that
this Infinite Intelligence converts acorns into oak trees, causes
water to flow downhill in response to the law of gravity, follows
night with day, and winter with summer, each maintaining its proper
place and relationship to the other. This Intelligence may, through
the principles of this philosophy, be induced to aid in transmuting
DESIRES into concrete, or material form. The author has this
knowledge, because he has experimented with it--and has EXPERIENCED
IT.

Being an earnest student of psychology, I knew, of course, that all
men have become what they are, because of their DOMINATING THOUGHTS
AND DESIRES. I knew that every deeply seated desire has the effect
of causing one to seek outward expression through which that desire
may be transmuted into reality. I knew that self-suggestion is a
powerful factor in building character, that it is, in fact, the sole
principle through which character is built.”

The Constitution? 4,543
Declaration of Independence? 1,337
Gettysburg Address? 272
The Beatitudes? 97

How powerful are words? All of the documents listed above speak to
power in words. Our Constitution is a one of kind instrument which
when follow properly has provided protection and justice to all
people. The Declaration of Independence shines as mankind’s cries
for freedom and self-determination. The Gettysburg address speaks
to sadness of division and a hope for healing. The Blessings or
Beatitudes speaks to a way to joyful living and the real source
peace.

A consistency throughout this book is the importance of self-
suggestion or self-talk. Just as the words of the documents above
brought about changes in individuals, a nation and the world,
it is the words we speak to ourselves that will bring about change
within each us.

Napoleon Hill used his imaginary council as a means of changing his
character, add to himself the traits of each member. I see this was
another form of his self-talks. As he spoke to each member he spoke
of the trait he sought for himself. So must I do the same. I desire
the trait of living in the positive emotion and recall Michael
Delouhy telling me to write and repeat “I live in the positive
emotions of desire, faith, love, sex, enthusiasm, romance, hope and
prosperity.” I wanted more e-book downloads when is remember Bob
Shaof’s words, “Everyone I contact wants to connect with me, and I
am receiving 2 quality downloads today.”  I want to build more
relationships, I hear the words of Jesus, “Do unto others, as you
would have them do unto you.” All of these and many more make up my
personal council. Their voices are now a part of me. When life
happens and it will. I listen to Bob Newhart’s “Stop It” video
which I can play in my head.

Thank you Linda and Michael Dlouhy for the gift of your servant’s
heart. Thanks to Bob, your encouragement is a blessing. Thanks to
everyone being on the calls, writing lessons and adding your thoughts.
A deep heartfelt thanks for everyone who downloads the e-book and
allows me to be a mentor.
