“Somewhere in the cell-structure of the brain, is located an organ which receives vibrations of thought ordinarily called “hunches.” So far, science has not discovered where this organ of the sixth sense is located, but this is not important. The fact remains that human beings do receive accurate knowledge, through sources other than the physical senses. Such knowledge, generally, is received when the mind is under the influence of extraordinary stimulation. Any emergency which arouses the emotions, and causes the heart to beat more rapidly than normal may, and generally does, bring the sixth sense into action. Anyone who has experienced a near accident while driving, knows that on such occasions, the sixth sense often comes to one’s rescue, and aids, by split seconds, in avoiding the accident”. Hill

Earlier this month, the 5th of July to be exact I left for motorcycle road trip to North Alabama to help my daughter move and to see my family. I had been in need of a good ride for a while as I had just been going back and forth to work on I-10…..very boring…in fact you could tell by the flat spot on my rear tire that I had not been having the fun that comes with the curves. So after my service and a new set of Michelins I was ready to go.

I don’t like the interstate so I always ride the two lanes to get away from all the crazies on it when I go up there. It was a great ride. Just after you get past Monroeville on Hwy. 41 there are a lot of great curves and virtually no traffic and I have rarely seen law enforcement unless there is a wreck so I cut her loose and had a ball.

On the way back was a different story though. When I made it south of Selma to a small town called Camden I could see the weather was going to turn nasty so I debated whether to put on my rain gear but decided not to because it was so hot. I figured even if I got wet I would still be dried out by the time I got home. By the time I got to my favorite curves it had already started so I had pretty much backed out of the speed I was running. As I said earlier there is not much traffic on that road but just as I was about to hit the really good set of twisites there was a car coming towards me. If there is something ahead a person will usually flash their lights or wave or do something to warn you and get your attention. I’m always making eye contact with everyone I see and this time was no different except the man coming towards me had a concerned look on his face, in fact it was troubling and unusual. I was just coming into a switchback where I had seen chip trucks flip over more than once and something told me to back way out of it. Sure enough as I rounded the blind curve the road was full of emergency vehicles and completely shut down. There it was, just one example of the SIXTH SENSE. And that was not the first time it had happened. It has served me well through millions of miles in a truck over the years as well as my bike. This time was no different and I gave thanks for God’s protection and warning.

Thanks to Linda and Michael Dlouhy for all they do for us and for each one of my mastermind partners for participating and adding value.
