“BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED”… WELL, ACTUALLY, WE ARE THE BATTERIES
POWER is essential for success in the accumulation of money. PLANS are inert and useless, without sufficient POWER to translate them into ACTION
POWER may be defined as “organized and intelligently directed KNOWLEDGE.” Power, as the term is here used, refers to ORGANIZED effort, sufficient to enable an individual to transmute DESIRE into its monetary equivalent. ORGANIZED effort is produced through the coordination of effort of two or more people, who work toward a DEFINITE end, in a spirit of harmony.
When I was a child I got these electronics for Christmas, which did not work out the box. We found out the toy needed batteries to work. The toy needed more than one battery to function, and I learned it could not function with only one battery. If the toy was to work as designed, as planned, the toy had a specific amount of required power for proper activity or definite action. This is what I believe Hill is speaking about. Like the toys and electronics today, we need power, but we need the power of other brains. when our brains are combined with other brains, working in perfect harmony in the development plans of ACTION, through which we transmute our desires into its physical counterpart. we are assured we will have what we desire.
“THE SAME THING IT TOOK TO GET YOUR BABY,
WELL, IT’S GOING TO TAKE THE SAME THING TO KEEP HER.”~ The Impressions
“ POWER IS REQUIRED FOR THE ACCUMULATION OF MONEY!
POWER IS NECESSARY FOR THE RETENTION OF MONEY AFTER IT HAS BEEN ACCUMULATED!” ~ Napoleon Hill
A group called the Impressions, many years ago sang a song by this title. Letting men know that if you want to keep your mate, you must maintain the relationship to retain her and not get slack or take her for granted. Hill puts it this way:
“Money is as shy and elusive as the “old time” maiden. It must be wooed and won by methods not unlike those used by a determined lover, in pursuit of the girl of his choice. And, coincidental as it is, the POWER used in the “wooing” of money is not greatly different from that used in wooing a maiden.” ~ Napoleon Hill
This is important because Hill tells us that riches and poverty can change places. I imagine that if we do not maintain the mindset that it took to accumulate wealth we can lose it. if we let our guard down we could easily slip onto the wrong side of the stream which is moving towards poverty.
Poverty and Wealth are on the same street but on different sides each going towards a different destination. poverty volunteers to take riches place but to move from poverty to riches takes a determined effort.
Through the principle of the Master Mind, I am learning about the power to attract, retain and protect our wealth once we have accumulated it.
I am grateful for everything I am learning with all of you and appreciate forNapoleonn Hill and Andrew Carnegie which commissioned Napoleon and sent hill on this quest that has present us with a way to move from poverty to wealth just like he did for himself using the principles he had wittingly or unwittingly used to propel himself to be a house hold name for many years.
