CHAPTER 8 DECISION: THE MASTERY OF PROCRASTINATION
The Seventh Step toward Riches
I know how it feels to PROCRASTINATE and I know how it feels to take ACTION and
get things completed, promptly. Completing tasks in a timely manner sure feels
better than putting them off. PROCRASTINATION creates a negative feeling. Taking
ACTION creates a positive mindset and is required to become a leader.
To be a leader, one must get accurate, truthful information, then make a
DECISION and seldom change it, if at all. We are given the opportunity to use a
tool here in Mentoring For Free that will allow us to test our capacity to reach
quick and definite DECISIONS.
There are examples in this chapter of very successful people having used the
skills Napoleon Hill writes about. They employed Hill's techniques long before
Hill wrote about them. With the writing of this book, Think and Grow Rich, now
the masses have the formula and the 13 steps to guide them to success. We have
the roadmap, right here in front of us, that will allow us to be as successful
as we DESIRE.
I like this statement:
"TELL THE WORLD WHAT YOU INTEND TO DO, BUT FIRST SHOW IT."
We've all heard the saying, actions speak louder than words. It sure fits here,
So what is the solution? Here is what I have I found that works for me to
improve my time management:
1. Prioritize my tasks.
2. Select only the most important.
3. Make a "To Do" list and follow it.
4. Slow down, take my time.
5. Only focus on the task at hand.
6. Complete the task or go as far as possible.
7. Marking off the completed tasks creates a very positive feeling.
Speaking of time management; I heard John-Eric Moseler the other day say to only
go to Facebook when You had a task to complete. Complete the task, then leave
and go to the next task. My email falls in that same category.
John says he has the equivalent of 13 or 14 months in a year due to his time
management. Michael Dlouhy falls in that same category.
