At the beginning of your network marketing career, you have probably heard the old saying, “You have to fake it until you make it.” When I first heard that saying, I thought to myself, “Okay Ryan, you have fake your confidence that you know how to run a business, and that you know everything about this business.” Well, as you can probably guess it, that didn't work to well for me. I feel that the reason it didn't work for me like it might work for others was because of faith.
For me, faking something felt like I was cheating myself and my value I can bring to others to help them reach their potential. But I heard someone use the phrase, “Faith it until you make it.” It was the same saying as before, but one word changed, and that was faith.
When I started to believe in myself, instead of faking it, my confidence skyrocketed. It was a different feeling of power that uplifted me. Faith is what gives me the desire to keep going towards my goal. And I work on my faith every day, just as Hill talks about, and that is through autosuggestion.
So, will you fake it until you make it? Or faith it into you make it?
