Think and Grow Rich - Chapter 15: How to Outwit the Six Ghosts of Fear

This was probably my favorite chapter of the last half of the book, because in my early days I was filled with fear. I left opportunities on the table, put off everything until tomorrow and tomorrow never came, I made excuses and even believed my own fabrications for the reasons why I was not successful. This fear overtook me into addiction to alcohol and drugs. This fear also caused me to miss out on the childhoods of my first 2 born children. I did not recognize this as fear in my early years because I was the guest of honor at my own pity party.

It wasn't until I was in my early 30s that I realized that I was responsible for my own life, and that I would have to completely change and face fear head on. It was not an easy task because the paradigms were so deeply embedded into my mind. It took work, hard work to first recognize each fear and outwit them one by one. Through the power of auto-suggestion, positive self-talk, not being afraid of rejection and moving into my purpose, I have grown into a man that knows exactly where he is going. Surrounding myself with a mastermind, such as this, has been the icing on the cake as of late and it just keeps getting better.

While I am not perfect, I do work continuously on facing and overcoming fears. I choose to overcome them because I know, without a doubt, on the other side of those fears lies the treasure which I seek. A wise woman I once knew told me that once I step OUT of fear, I step into my purpose. This rings true with our amazing system. I used to have a hindering fear of criticism that held me back from being a successful marketer. I no longer have this fear, and many amazing people have attracted to because this fear no longer exists.

What I have learned from this chapter is that we must work, every day, to outwit these deep seated fears placed into our minds through negative words, repetition, beliefs, habits through creating positive habits, beliefs, repetition and words.

Each of us holds a power so strong inside of, that once the resistance of fear is eliminated, we are setting the world ablaze with our energy! To all of my MFF brothers and sisters, I BELIEVE IN YOU!

Because YOU Are Worth It,
