A Few Thoughts on the Sixth Sense:

I have only read a few chapters of Think and Grow Rich, and I started where this group was at; at the end of the book. So, I have much catching up to do. But I must say I really connected to the chapters on The Subconscious Mind, The Brain, and The Sixth Sense.

I can relate to Hill’s assertion that most don’t get to this state of awareness and communication with the Sixth Sense until their 50s. I am 54. I knew God was real and huge since at least the age of 5, as I sat in my backyard staring up at the moon and stars. After all, whoever created all of this had to be pretty big. I had several extraordinary supernatural experiences as a teen and young adult. But some of these experiences were quite intense and uncomfortable.

Rather than deal with what sometimes felt like really bad energy, I shut down a part of myself to avoid these experiences. But I never stopped believing in a spiritual realm. Recently, I have been re-exploring these recesses of my spirit and mind forgotten about long ago, looking for wholeness, truth and alignment with my highest self and God/The Universe.

There is no doubt, an unseen world out there; and forces willing to assist you in attracting whatever you are focused on. At the time, I was reading almost exclusively off of the occult bookshelf when things got particularly weird. That’s when Light spoke to my spirit. I saw my deceased grandmother with her hand on my shoulder, and Jesus with His hand on hers. My mom always said my grandmother was my guardian angel. I started to believe it. And words of Paul came to mind:

“Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

~ Philippians 4:8

Even back then, I was being communicated with at a subconscious level about the Law of Attraction, the connection between the spiritual and the mental realms, and about thinking and speaking things into reality. I just didn’t understand how it all fit together at the time. Now, I see better how the visible and invisible worlds connect. You really do bring in what energies you open yourself up to, and dwell on by both your focus and your feelings.

The concept of meeting with imaginations of people (Invisible Counselors) whom I admire for different qualities is intriguing. It sounds a bit like a séance. But it isn’t, really. I am contemplating who will be on my list of Invisible Counselors to call on for wisdom, faith, vision, tenacity, strength, etc. Drawing on the concept of what Carl Jung called the collective unconscious; I see how calling out to the Universe and fellow travelers makes total sense. Many others out there are thinking the same things. Raise your energy vibration to the level of thinking you wish to encounter and ask. Invite in.

I look forward to continuing this journey with these Think and Grow Rich calls and lessons, and identifying with this great Mentoring For Free community.

Thanks to Nathan Grimes for inviting me to read Michael’s book and join these lessons and calls. And thanks to Michael and Linda Dlouhy for your willingness to create all of this for the many who have struggled either with personal development, or with developing the skills needed to become a successful, professional network marketer.
