Great Day Leaders,

The brain is both a broadcasting and receiving station for the vibration of thought similar to the radio. Sounds pretty creepy. I can understand why some people can be skeptical. I’ve heard people talk on previous lessons giving examples of things that happen or results they experienced because of their self-talk. For example, finding a parking spot, on the busiest day, in front of the location they were going to shop. Before they get there!

Sometimes we experience those “moments” when we get up on the wrong side of our beds in the morning. You kind of feel that it’s not going to be a good day. Well, I woke up one morning and my wife seemed like she was having one of those days. After 30 years together, I just knew something was not right. I felt it. I did not say a word to her. I went into my self-talk mode., “She’s happy, she’s jolly, she’s excited, we’re excited, I’m excited, I’m excited for her, our dog’s excited, everybody’s excited, it’s a great day, it’s the best day of our lives.” Then we go out for our daily walk. She was quiet. Pretty unusual. But I kept repeating my self-talk. I actually began to repeat, “You will be happy, NOW!  Over and over again. I just didn’t stop. Within 15-20 minutes into our walk, her first words were, “It’s a beautiful day.“ “I love our home.” I’m really happy!” I didn’t say a word. All I did was smile in agreement. But I really wanted to drop! I couldn’t believe it. Was it a coincidence or did our minds tune to each other that she finally felt my positive vibrations?

“You find amazing new powers in every part of your mind. You see how to step up these powers of quick, clear, effective thinking.” - Napoleon Hill

If the creative imagination is the “receiving set” of the brain, which receives thoughts released by the brains of others, we must utilize that power in our quest to build a successful business. My self-talk is, “I am connecting with extraordinary, positive leaders today!” My self-talk should be said with conviction before I pick up the phone or turn on my computer to connect with people.

So tune out the noise and tune in to your “other self” and think your way to success.
