There is a big difference between Involvement and Commitment.
Many people are involved in network marketing. They show up occasionally. They talk to people occasionally. They are busy with lots of other activities, which often take priority.
But to be truly successful in network marketing requires more than running an autoship every month. It requires nose-to-the-grindstone commitment.
Doesn't matter how you feel at that moment. Doesn't matter whether your team is growing or not. You must persist in learning skills and in finding people, either face-to-face or online. A person is a person no matter where you meet, and we must continually develop skills that will help us improve our people-attracting and mentoring skills.
Persistence demands that you stay focused on the goal. It makes no matter your current rank; you visualize the rank you desire. Keep your head down and keep moving forward.
Persistence doesn’t care what the people around you say. Your friends laugh at you, your kids roll their eyes at you. If you are truly investing your life blood in your business, they probably think you're already crazy. Who cares? It's the crazy ones who have massive success!
Persistence pays no attention to the success of those around you. Your journey is YOUR journey. A sure-fire way to become discouraged is to look at those who make it to the top of the pay plan in a minute. My friend, there are valuable lessons to be learned each inch of the way and learning them well will serve you well. Achieving success without developing character is like a house of cards. Only by developing your inner life, will you truly Win.
Listen to these brilliant words of Bijan, a famous designer of men’s clothing:
“The world said conform,
The world said settle for less,
The world said compromise and no one will know…
So I made my own world.”
As a network marketers we experience a world that makes sense to only a few. Our mission will NOT be aborted. We ignore the noise around us that seeks to distract and destroy. But those who are willing to stay the course win.
And it all comes down to this choice. Are you Involved in network marketing? Or are you Committed?
Be ye Persistent!
