Chapter 9 - Persistence
A quote by Hal Borland
"Knowing trees, I understand the meaning of patience.
Knowing grass, I can appreciate persistence."
Grass and persistence - Interesting!
Did we ever think we would compare ourselves with grass?
That green stuff that grows in our yard and the majority
of people spend hours and hours of time taking care of it.
We feed it, we water it, we mow it, we trim it, and we
admire how nice it looks after we take care of it.
And depending on where we live it grows and grows and we
have to mow it again, and again and again. That grass just
does not quit growing. After a while we wish it wouldn't
grow so fast but someone forgot to tell the grass to only
grow to a certain height.
Grass has persistence. Grass does
not care what others think, it just does "it's thing"
and its goal is to grow, and grow it does.
Are we like the grass in the things we want to do and
accomplish? Do we do "our thing" when it comes to
building our business? Do we care what others think
about what we are doing or do we just grow like the
grass does, doing our "thing".
As Hal Borland said of the grass "Knowing grass, I
can appreciate persistence."
Would someone say about us " Knowing (put your name here)
I can appreciate persistence.
