Chapter 2 "Desire"
The first thing that got my attention It was the little word "try" When someone replies to me "I will try to come" I know instantly I will not see them. I've seen proof of this. They never never show up. The word "try" should be eliminated from everyone speaking it out or even thinking it. So your "desires" stated more than likely will lead to taking action.
Prior to Barnes speaking to Edison he did not say in his mind "I will try to induce Edison to give me a job of some sort". Nor did he think "I will keep my eyes open for another opportunity, in case I fail to get what I want in the Edison organization.
This brought me to the reality that I need to stay with the business that I am in now and not move onto another and another. I will not leave until I win. I will keep taking action. Barnes saw himself becoming a business associate with the great inventor. I see my dreams to help and fulfill my "burning desire" for my business for achieve financial abundance for churches, missions, friends, new acquaintance, charities, fund raisers, business like restaurants, beauty shops, etc.
Yes, Thomas Edison had ten thousand failures before his desire to have the lamp light up became a reality. Because of his willingness to not quit electricity was invented. Napoleon Hill stated "a burning desire to be and to do is the starting point from which a dreamer must take off. Dreams are not born of indifference, laziness and lack of ambition". I know that I am not lazy, or have a lack of ambition. I will reach my "desire" for my riches and others.
I have that "burning desire" for my dream of amazing success in network marketing. Yes, to accomplish that this chapter says action is needed to be accomplished by writing down the 6 steps and repeating them outloud in the morning and in the evening. Our state of mind must be "belief" that I have acquired it. Having yourself seeing you are already in possession of great riches. I will have my "desires" no matter how many times it may fail.
