Chapter 2 - Desire.

Hill writes, "If the thing you wish to do is right, and you believe in it, go ahead and do it!
Put your dream across, and never mind what “they” say if you meet with temporary defeat,
for “they,” perhaps, do not know that EVERY FAILURE BRINGS WITH IT THE SEED OF
AN EQUIVALENT SUCCESS."

We need to remember "they" do not know what we know, "they" do not know what we are
capable of, "they" are happy where they are and do not want to do any more than they are doing.

We are not "they".  We have a dream. We know we are capable, and we are not happy where
we are because we want more.  More for our families, ourselves and all those we can help along our journey.

Lately we have heard the saying "Get over yourself".  It sounded strange for me at first and I was
not sure what it actually meant.  Once I realized it was talking about worrying about what others
may think of us, it made sense to me.

Others have their own life to live.  We have to live our lives and make our own choices the
same as others do.  We came into Network marketing to make a change in our lives and
circumstances and when we begin to learn about ourselves sometimes it can be a little scary.
We find out things about ourselves that we are not happy about.  We may find out we carry
beliefs that we don't really want to hang on to and then we have to go about getting rid of those
beliefs and replace them with new beliefs.  We have to learn to become confident in ourselves
and know that we can make our own choices and not have to listen to everyone else.
Our family and friends may not like the new us.  When that happens, we have a choice.

For some that choice is easy, but for some not so easy.

Hill tells us "In planning to acquire your share of the riches, let no one influence you to scorn
the dreamer. To win the big stakes in this changed world, you must catch the spirit of the great
pioneers of the past, whose dreams have given to civilization all that it has of value, the spirit
which serves as the life-blood of our own country—your opportunity and mine, to develop and
market our talents."

Practical dreamers DO NOT QUIT!"

A BURNING DESIRE TO BE, AND TO DO is the starting point from which the dreamer
must take off. Dreams are not born of indifference, laziness, or lack of ambition.

Remember, too, that all who succeed in life get off to a bad start, and pass through many
heartbreaking struggles before they “arrive.” The turning point in the lives of those who succeed,
usually comes at the moment of some crisis, through which they are introduced to their “other selves".

I believe the biggest heartbraking struggle or crisis we have to go through is getting over
what others may think of us.

Quoting Hill again, "Remember, no more effort is required to aim high in life, to demand
abundance and prosperity, than is required to accept misery and poverty."

I choose to not let anyone decide for me what I am capable of and what I am going to
accomplish in my life.
