Ch. 11 - The Tenth Step toward Riches

Although I don’t think of myself as repressed sexually or in any other way, possibly because of a now out of fashion upbringing, this chapter has always been a difficult one for me to properly understand.

History, both ancient and modern, shows us that many powerful men and women were possessed of extremely high, often uncontrolled, sex drives. Later in this chapter Mr. Hill tells us of scientific study confirming a relationship between power, success and sex.

From Cleopatra to Rasputin through Hitler, several English Kings to American and French Presidents, many lasting reputations have focused more on their sexual exploits than almost anything else they managed to achieve.

Hill tells us “The emotion of sex brings into being a state of mind. Because of ignorance on the subject, this state of mind is generally associated with the physical, and because of improper influences, to which most people have been subjected, in acquiring knowledge of sex, things essentially physical have highly biased the mind”.

Certainly, given the sex drive as being the most powerful driver of humanity, I now see the relationship between that and bringing to bear that same level of intensity to achieving wealth or any other ambition.

Having previously only associated transmutation with ancient alcamists attempts to turn lead or other base metals into gold using early chemistry this chapter introduced me to an entirely different concept as I read “The emotion of sex has back of it the possibility of three constructive potentialities, they are:—

1. The perpetuation of mankind.

2. The maintenance of health, (as a therapeutic agency, it has no equal).

3. The trans formation of mediocrity into genius through transmutation.

Sex transmutation is simple and easily explained. It means the switching of the mind from thoughts of physical expression, to thoughts of some other nature.

The transmutation of sex energy calls for the exercise of willpower, but the reward is worth the effort.

As the majority of regular readers already know, the simple fact of reading and posting to this forum requires a good degree of focus along with the willpower to put aside a tiny portion of the week to direct the mind to concentrating on learning the wealth achievement game, because it is a game which like any game,  has rules which need to be followed.

It’s surely no coincidence that as recently mentioned, Ken Klemm has as his signature “How many times have you said your self-talk today”? Self talk repeated many times with emotion and desire is another amazing way to help that transmutation process.
