In this chapter on Imagination, I have been drawn to look at the 'detail', in that that there are 'two types' of Imagination!

The realization has only just hit me whilst reading this chapter, that there are 'two types'!

In the past I have always started with, what I now know to be, the 'Synthetic Imagination',  in carrying out my 'problem solving' activities, but Never realising that I was automatically continuing on to the 'Creative Imagination', when the  knowledge/experiences I had stored, did not help me in resolving those problems!

I literally 'got that' from the Parapgraph explaining 'Synthetic Imagination', as follows:

"SYNTHETIC IMAGINATION:—Through this faculty, one may arrange old concepts, ideas, or plans into new combinations. This faculty creates nothing. It merely works with the material of experience, education, and observation with which it is fed. It is the faculty used most by the inventor, with the exception of the who draws upon the creative imagination, when he cannot solve his problem through synthetic imagination. "

I understand from this, that Hill says, we progress (draws upon) to the 'creative' when the 'synthetic' faculty, has not been able to help solve the problem, because it does not use 'Creative Imagination' which only comes about if we do not give up, but instead inherently through self belief, we automatically move on to use our Creative Imagination' to resolve the problem.

As an Entrepreneur, I have always risen to the challenge of seeking the cause of any problem I have faced.
Therefore I have continually 'Used' my 'creative imagination'.
It is only through constant 'use', as Hill says, that we listen to our 'gut feelings',  'hunches' & 'Inspirations' are recieved, accepted.and used, along with our communication with others, which very often helps to resolve our problems too.

Very often, when we discuss our problems with others, it helps resolve the problems we are facing, whether or not the person we are communicating with, provides the definitive answer or not!

That is what our own 'Mastermind' group is doing every time we meet!
Our conference calls, help to resolve our own personal challenges through discussion and in 'voicing' our own 'wisdom', as Michael so often says, we are using our 'Creative' imagination, not the Synthetic imagination.

Napoleon Hill's last paragraph under Creative Imagination, says it so clearly for me now...

"The creative faculty becomes more alert, more receptive to vibrations from the sources mentioned, in proportion to its development through USE. This statement is significant! Ponder over it before passing on."

I personally have learned so much this week, after speaking with one our leaders here, so I would like to say a huge Thank you.
I am so grateful, to all of the leaders in The Mentoring for Free, for all the help I have received.
I look forward to the day, when I too can help others in the same way!
