Ctrl/Cmd+V Specialized Knowledge
There is an old saying that: “A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand”. My mind is my kingdom and I have complete control over it, if I choose to exercise that control. I decide what thoughts I permit to enter into and what thoughts I exclude from my kingdom. However, if I earnestly desire one thing but choose to allow conflicting thoughts to enter my kingdom, I am no longer king; I have abdicated and become a puppet to outside influences.
Hill says: “To a large extent your major purpose in life, the goal toward which you are working will help determine what knowledge you need. With this question settled, your next move requires that you have accurate information concerning dependable sources of knowledge”. Too often there is a tendency to say: “I cannot do this now because I don’t have enough education or experience”; or, “I cannot talk to people because I’m not confident enough and I’m not a great conversationalist and how could I keep them interested because I’m not a very interesting person anyway”.
Hill is saying – start where you’re at and all the skills and confidence you need will come to you if you have a life purpose and nurture it daily with a supporting self-talk. Plan and decide what specific knowledge you need to get started. Trust and believe and you will succeed. God (Infinite Intelligence) and the inspirations and promptings which He will send to your imagination will fill in the gaps and complete your jigsaw.
You do not need to know everything yourself: if you can become part of a mastermind group, you can have the benefit of the accumulated knowledge and experience of other minds as well as the publicly available sources of specialized knowledge. This with the inspirations, (referred to in the preceding paragraph), flooding into your imagination, as well as persistence in following your life’s purpose will guarantee your success.
I thank Michael and Linda Dlouhy and the members of this wonderful mastermind group for all you have done and continue to do.
Regards and best wishes to all.
