Think & Grow Rich Lessons

Last night, here in Albuquerque, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Caroline Leaf, a cognitive neuroscientist with a PhD in Communication Pathology specializing in Neuropsychology.  In light of what we have been learning, especially here on Think and Grow Rich Lessons, it was fascinating to hear her talk about the positive and negative thoughts and how quickly they change everything in a matter of seconds.  She likened our positive thoughts to a surfer who is riding through the tunnel, and the wave collapsing as the negative thoughts. It can happen in a nanosecond.

I marvel that, although Think and grow Rich was written in 1937, there admittedly has not been a tremendous amount more discovered about the brain.  It is so complex and so unsearchable!  We do however know a bit more.  Dr Leaf moved back and forth between a live tree and a dead tree as she talked about positive and negative thoughts and emotions.  Even today, as a dread of disappointment came across me, I physically moved my body to the positive side and made a conscious choice to leave the negative thought behind.  Many of us have a many years of programming to unwind but the exciting point of that is that the subconscious mind doesn't know about time.  It changes with the thought.  So if you think you can't change your mind instantly, you're right!  If you think you can, you're right too!  Maybe that children's song that the kids sing in Sunday School needs to get stuck in our heads as adults.  "Oh be careful little eyes what you see..."Oh be careful little ears what you hear..."Oh be careful little thoughts what you think... it all makes a huge difference.
