Chapter 12-The Subconscious Mind

The Connecting Link


The Subconscious Mind is the place where all past and present experiences are kept.  Of course, every single day we put new experiences and thoughts into it.  It is our responsibility to make sure that our experiences and thoughts are positive.  


Our subconscious mind is the storehouse of not only our thoughts but the thoughts from others that creep into this storehouse.  It is up to us to accept or reject what we hear, see, feel, and think whether these thoughts get into this big reservoir.  Only thoughts and experiences that are filled with emotion get into our subconscious mind.  


Since thoughts and experiences from the past are already in our subconscious mind, it is only through self-development that we can evaluate how we deal with them.  All of us have had both positive and negative experiences in the past and we will have them in the future.  We need to remember if we are to grow mentally and spiritually, positive thoughts and experiences are the ones that will be the  guide to our subconscious mind.  The positive thoughts are desire, faith, love, sex, enthusiasm, romance, hope, and prosperity and  what we need in our subconscious mind.


Through our self-talk we can throw out the negative thoughts.  The negative thoughts that are already in our subconscious mind need to come to the surface and be reevaluated.  Many times we have negative experiences and thoughts that come to the present situation. This happens because our infinite intelligence is testing us to see whether we really desire positive experiences or not.  Do we really believe in ourselves?  Do we really trust infinite intelligence?  This is difficult to handle.  


The best remedy in my estimation is to talk to the infinite intelligence or God as I know it and ask for an answer. Then we have to recognize the answer because if we don’t another test will come.  We have to know that we can evaluate our situation and tell ourselves that we goofed but we will get another chance.  When that chance comes, grab it with all the positive emotions and thoughts you can muster.
