Chapter 12: The Subconscious Mind
They say that, " The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste." Moreover, the brain is oh so powerful. For example, " If you say that you can, then you can." "Conversely, If you say that you cannot, then you cannot." I find that on days when I wake up and say, "I can't wait to see what the Good Lord has in store for me."; Good things happen. Otherwise, if I do not remembe to say that, then the day is not so spectacular. Also, if I run around singing, "If I die today...", for example; At the end of the day, I end up laughing myself to sleep. I probably laugh until I cry. I have heard that, the negative thoughts eventually turn into positive ones. Although, I am not certain whether or not that applies to critical thinkers (or overthinkers). This is why I love comedy as well as self-improvement books. They coach you on how to turn your negative into a positive. The subconscious mind is obviously, affected by toxins. It is affected by the company you keep, the music you listen to and so on. For instance, if you constantly allow yourself to get "beat down" and you beat yourself down, then this affects the subconscious mind. Nevertheless, no one is perfect. One does not stay down for long. All it takes sometimes is to see your neighbors pleasant face. Then your mind changes chapters.(Smile).
