Ctrl/Cmd+VThe Power of the Mastermind The Power of the Mastermind
The Olympic gymnast preparing for his gymnastic performance on the parallel bars applies flour to the bars to ensure that his hands won’t slip while performing his routines. Nothing is left to chance so that when he swings, balances, vaults, twists and turns, somersaults and finishes with a strong clear landing, everything is smooth and effortless. Just think of the coaching and mentoring that went into the performance; you can be sure he was teachable and worked in perfect harmony with his mentors. He made good use of the accumulated experience available for his discipline as well as the scientific knowledge gleaned from experiment and research and profited from the inspiration obtained from the fusion of many minds.
Hill states: “Power may be defined as organized and intelligently directed knowledge” and “Organized effort is produced through the co-ordination of effort of two or more people who work toward a definite end in a spirit of harmony”. For success in life or business, there has got to be internal and external harmony. Creative power from within comes from communication with Infinite Intelligence through the thought impulses sent by the subconscious mind and the inspirations received by the creative imagination in return. When, realizing his own limited knowledge and experience, an individual decides to avail of the combined knowledge and experience of a Mastermind, great power is generated. As Hill says: “When two or more people co-ordinate in a spirit of harmony and work toward a definite objective, they place themselves in a position, through that alliance, to absorb power from the great universal storehouse of Infinite Intelligence. This is the greatest of all sources of power. It is the source to which the genius and the great leader turn (whether they are conscious of the fact or not)”. It’s not just the accumulated knowledge and experience of the group and whatever new knowledge from human experiment and research members may have access to that is available, but the channels to divine inspiration are also opened up to it. However, it’s not all about receiving; it’s about giving too, and the members of the Mastermind group must help each other attain their goals in an unselfish way.
The real power of a Mastermind group comes from the inspirations derived from Infinite Intelligence when they are pooled and responded to by the members of the group to achieve a definite purpose. The sparks of divine creativity fly in many directions and many minds are more likely to respond appropriately to them than the mind of one person.
Regards and best wishes to all.
