Chapter 10 The Power of the Mastermind

We frequently hear people say  they struggled for years before they found Mentoring for Free and then things turned around for them.  They talk about how it impacts their business and how they are finally seeing success in network marketing.  But we also hear testimonials about improved relationships with children, spouses, grandchildren and co-workers, greater feelings of self-confidence, higher self esteem...the list goes on as this training is life-changing in many ways.

Why is that?  Hill tells us that manifesting worthy goals requires power and power "is produced through the coordination of effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite end, in a spirit of harmony."  In other words, having a burning desire, faith, a plan of action, and a huge amount of persistence will only take you so far if you choose to go it alone.  There simply is not enough power to elevate you to a high level of success.  This is why the subtitle to this chapter on the mastermind is  "The Driving Force."

At MFF every call is a Mastermind.  We are a group of people wanting to succeed in network marketing, but that in and of itself is not enough.  The spirit of harmony has to be there or it doesn't work.  In other words we are not a group getting together to complain about how difficult our lives are, how uncooperative our upline, how we're still broke after so many months.  Rather the positive energy, the spirit of harmony is enforced at all times on these calls.

The spirit of harmony is also found in the collaborative nature of these calls.  Yes there is always a moderator, but the focus is on getting everyone to unmute and speak up, as Michael says to "share your brilliance."  Everyone is acknowledged and we all benefit when more people participate and speak up.  How different this is from a typical webinar or conference call where one person, the so-called "authority," speaks and everyone else listens with no interaction.

In this atmosphere of positive collaboration we get new ideas and insights all of the time from what people say but also from what they think and feel.  A third mind emerges which is the mastermind and we all share in the insights however they are expressed.  How often have you had a question and heard it answered by someone who speaks up?  Or received a great idea for advertising for ebook downloads, something you never would have thought of on your own? Or learned something useful about yourself that helps in your business or your personal life?

Hill says:  "a group of brains coordinated (or connected) in a spirit of harmony will provide more thought-energy than a single brain,"  and..."the increased energy created through that alliance becomes available to every individual brain in the group."

Yes the Mastermind is a powerful place and tuning in regularly is a life changing experience for everyone who participates, and the power grows exponentially as more and more people unmute and share their brilliance.
